1)             Definition of Prohibition.

Prohibition is an expression to warn others not to do something or prohibit. The social function of prohibition is to keep interpersonal relationship with teachers and classmates.

2)               Prohibition Sentence is divided into two types, namely :

1.             Verbal Prohibition (containing verbs) and
2.             Nominal Prohibition (does not contain a verb).

1.      Verbal Prohibition

Form: "Do not” or “Don’t” before a Bare infinitive or Verb 1. Bare infinitive is a verb (verb 1) certain to be used without using "to" in the sentence. Bare infinitive is often referred to as base form, short infinitive or zero infinitive. Giving prohibition is the way of giving instruction to someone not to do something. Prohibition function is to forbid or prevent someone from doing something. There are some ways to make prohibition expressions :

Ø   By using the pattern  Don’t + verb 1

Example
Don’t disturb me!
Don’t open the door!
Don’t leave me alone!
To make the ban more polite sentence or Polite Prohibition, use "please" the beginning of a sentence or end of sentences.

Examples:
Please do not cry! or
Do not cry, please!

Please do not shoot the bird! or
Do not shoot the bird, please!

Please do not go!
or
Do not go, please!

2.      Nominal prohibition

Ø   By using the pattern    Don’t be + adjective

Form: "Do not Be or" Don’t Be "before a non-verb or adjective!Nominal or Non-Verb is a sentence that does not contain a verb. An example is the Adjective (adj), Noun (N) or adverb (Adv). Characteristic of nominal sentence is using "be".

Example :
Don’t be noisy!
Don’t be late!
Don’t be shy!
 Don’t be lazy!

Ø   By using the pattern    Don’t be + adverb

Example :
Don’t be here!
Don’t be there!
Don’t be on Monday!

Ø   By using the pattern    No + Verb-ing

A part form Verbal and Nominal sentence, there Prohibition Sentence shaped "ing".
Form: "No" + "ing verb form"

Examples :

No climbing!
No kidding!
No parking!

Mother   : Don’t eat that bread!
Alicia     : Okay mom.

Reza       : Don’t read my message!
